Standards setting and measurement will not, of themselves, result in performance improvement. It is the application of the results of the measurement at an individual branch level and aggregated appropriately for groups of branches which will deliver improvement.

The objective reports on each assessment must be communicated to participants in a positive manner and used in conjunction with management briefing, training and recognition and reward systems to encourage performance improvement.
